The Redskins have signed three-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams to a reported five-year contract extension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.*

Before training camp got underway, the Redskins locked up Pro Bowl outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan with a lucrative multi-year contract extension.

On Saturday, as the team prepared to take on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3 of preseason action, it reportedly did the same with their Pro Bowl left tackle.

The Redskins and Trent Williams agreed on a five-year contract extension, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Williams, 27, who was entering the final year of his contract, in May said his desire to re-sign with the Redskins was a "no-brainer."

He just completed his fourth season as an offensive captain for the Redskins, and has been among the league's top left tackles since he was selected No. 4 overall in the 2010 NFL Draft. In 2014, he joined Chris Samuels and Joe Jacoby as the only Redskins tackles to make three consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

The 2013 Redskins Bobby Mitchell Offensive Player of the Year, Williams battled through multiple painful injuries to play in and start 15 games in 2014.

"I'm just not going to worry about it," Williams said this week when asked about his contract negotiations. "Like you said, it's up at the end of the year and as of right now I just got to give Washington one of the best years of my career. That's my focus, just getting better, being better than last year and the contract situation; it will work out, hopefully. I really don't have a say in that."
