While there are technically no inactives in a preseason game, there are a number of Redskins that for practical purposes will not participate in tonight's game.
Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III suited up with his teammates but has been all but eliminated from preseason action, much less the first game.
Most veterans in the secondary did not suit up, with DeAngelo Hall, Josh Wilson, Brandon Meriweather and Reed Doughty sitting out.
Running backs Chris Thompson and Alfred Morris will not participate in tonight's action, nor will rookie tight end Jordan Reed or new inside linebacker Nick Barnett.
Receiver Pierre Garcon is likely to have the night off, along with left tackle Trent Williams and veteran nose tackle Barry Cofield.
Most of these are considered to be healthy scratches, although it is likely that other Redskins recovering from injury will be given a limited workload tonight in the sloppy conditions.
