On his first day and his first NFL practice:
"It went well. It was just getting used to the plays and seeing them live. Just getting a chance to run around and get to the ball."

Was today a little overwhelming?
"No. They bring you in expecting you to be able to pick up things fast. If you couldn't pick it up fast, they would have you out here. It's just a matter of getting out here and getting the reps. The more you do it, the more comfortable you get with it."

Do you think you made a good first impression?
"Hey, I went out there, I ran to the ball. I ran hard and practiced hard, that's all I can give. What the coaches think is what the coaches think, but I'm out there practicing and working."

On whether or not practicing with prospects at the University of Miami helped him adjust in the first practice:
"Well, it's just a lot of guys out here running around having fun. That's how it is at Miami. It's very enthusiastic and everyone is trying to compete. You see it at Miami, but this is a higher level. There are no slack-offs, there is no, 'that guy might not get the job done,' it's everyone getting the job done out there."

On being on the third team:
"Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm not trying to get anything handed to me, I want to work for everything I get."

On pressure:
"There is no pressure on me. I'm going to come in here and do what I know how to do and that's play football. That's work hard and the rest will take care of itself. I've never been a person to come in expecting anything. I don't expect anything to be handed to me. I'm going to work and let people see me work and that's it."

On being nervous:
"It's like a first day at any program. I came yesterday and I met the guys, but it's like a first day you were practicing for Pop Warner and the season is coming around or that junior varsity or varsity team. It's just a first day of practice, you're just trying to get all the jitters out, getting used to the plays and seeing them live."
