Mike Sellers was among the Redskins' inactives for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

It was perhaps Sellers' first non-injury related inactive in his tenure with the Redskins.

Sellers' role with the offense could become a question mark, given his veteran status with the team.

He is the longest-tenured Redskin, having been with the club since 2004. He also had a stint with the Redskins from 1998-2000.

Sellers entered training camp working with the tight ends after coaches gave the starting fullback job to Darrel Young.

He continued to see action at fullback, though. He started the Redskins' preseason finale vs. Tampa Bay and turned in a strong performance, securing a roster spot.

With Chris Cooley healthy enough to play in the season opener, coaches opted not to dress four tight ends.

Also, it was decided that Young would be the only active fullback.

Sellers joined wide receivers Leonard Hankerson and Donte Stallworth, safety LaRon Landry, defensive lineman Darrion Scott, offensive tackle Willie Smith and linebacker Markus White as Redskins' inactives for Sunday's game.
