Marshon Lattimore has allowed a -12.3% completion percentage over expected when targeted as the nearest defender this season, 3rd-lowest among 75 outside CBs.
Adam Peters did not turn Jahan Dotson into Marshon Lattimore. Did even better. Traded the lesser of the #Commanders' two 2025 third-round picks. Kept the pick from Philadelphia via Miami for Dotson. And dealt one of New Orleans' own picks back to the Saints.
Trade of Lattimore to Washington confirmed…anyone know a good spot to stay in New Orleans mid-February? Asking for a friend. pic.twitter.com/81jzfrdoHz
Like I said earlier. I was down for whatever AP was willing to do. So with them landing Lattimore, im sure they've done all of their due diligence on the situation. Especially for a guy that fills the biggest need onbthe team. #Lethimcook#Commanders#Raisehailpic.twitter.com/jSoiN1bKkm
If Peters get Lattimore for a 3rd then he essentially flipped Dotson for Lattimore. That would wrap up Exec of the year for sure pic.twitter.com/AvcDe3ZFwG
"They gave up a lot but it was worth it but you gotta still balance out, you still gotta build this football team in the future."@spielman_rick on the Commanders trading for Marshon Lattimore. pic.twitter.com/H1selpMoKG
Tell me if I'm wrong, but the Commanders basically traded the lower of their two 2025 third-round picks, John Ridgeway (who they sent to the Saints for the 2025 sixth now going back to NO) and a 2025 fourth for Lattimore and a 2025 fifth? That's...good.
Commanders 7-2 Have a generational QB playing like a MVP SCARY TERRY on pace to put up career high numbers. Have a great defense that’s adding MARSHON LATTIMORE? 😭 I LOVE THIS TEAM!! LMAO #RaiseHailhttps://t.co/xfM47fK8mSpic.twitter.com/RxkAzvTh5y
The thing about Lattimore now being in the fold… it helps you at two spots. You now have a true CB1 and Mikey can now go back to slot, which is his best spot.
Marshon Lattimore is the exact player I envisioned they’d target. They have the need, they have the money, they have the draft capital, and they have the wins. It made too much sense.
