Cornerback Shawn Springs remains uncertain for practice this week and possibly Saturday's Wild Card playoff game against Tampa Bay, team officials said.

Springs re-aggravated a groin injury in the first half of Sunday's 31-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Springs underwent an MRI on the injury on Monday. Team doctors and trainers are expected to meet later this week to evaluate the injury and determine Springs' availability.

"It's probably one of our biggest concerns, with his groin," head coach Joe Gibbs said. "It'll probably be later in the week before we get a report on that."

Reserve cornerback Ade Jimoh should be available for practice this week despite suffering shortness of breath on Sunday due to an irregular heartbeat. Jimoh, who left Sunday's game in the second half and did not return, has had the condition before.

"It's nothing to be alarmed about," Gibbs said.

Jimoh declined to get into specifics about the condition, but added: "I will be fine. I will be playing."

Rookie cornerback Carlos Rogers is expected to return to practice this week after missing the last three games due to a biceps injury. In practice last week, Rogers increased his work in practice drills.

"I'll be ready--no doubt," Rogers said on Monday.

Added Gibbs: "We're excited, because we think Carlos is going to be back. That'll be good for us in case Shawn is unable to take some work this week."

Due to injuries in the secondary the last few weeks, reserve cornerbacks Dimitri Patterson and Christian Morton have gained valuable playing experience.
