Donte Stallworth wrapped up the Redskins' preseason in style on Thursday night.

With 1:07 left in the Redskins' preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Stallworth caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kellen Clemens in the back of the end zone to seal a 29-24 win at FedExField.

Stallworth finished the game with five catches for 80 yards.

Now Stallworth, a 9-year veteran wide receiver, waits to learn his fate.

Did he earn a roster spot? Or will he be playing elsewhere in 2011?

"I just tried to make the most of my opportunities," he said. "I feel like I've done that. The coaches will decide who the top 53 are to be on this roster."

Stallworth said he has enjoyed his time with the Redskins this preseason.

His presence helped the young receivers adjust to the NFL and develop as better players. The Redskins have four rookie wide receivers -- Leonard Hankerson, Niles Paul, Aldrick Robinson and Isaac Anderson -- and Stallworth said he has enjoyed watching them grow.

"It's really good when you can see young guys step in, be fearless, make plays and do really well in the short amount of time we've had," he said. "No coaching sessions, no mini-camps, and those guys have done really well. I'm excited for them. I hope they have a really good season this year."

Stallworth admitted he wasn't sure if he would make the Redskins roster. His post-game comments suggested he thought he might not make the final 53.

"This organization has really made some strides by bringing in some guys and doing some good things -- via free agency and trades -- to put themselves in a position to have a successful season," he said.

He added: "Regardless of what happens with me and my situation, they'll do that this year."
