The New Year is upon us, and with the regular season now officially over, the Washington Redskins can already start looking ahead to next year and their 2019 opponents.
With all 16 games now in the books, the team's eight home and road opponents are now confirmed. Here's a look at who the Redskins will face next season.
2019 Home Opponents
- Dallas Cowboys
- Philadelphia Eagles
- New York Giants
- New England Patriots
- New York Jets
- Chicago Bears
- Detroit Lions
- San Francisco 49ers
2019 Road Opponents

- New York Giants
- Miami Dolphins
- Buffalo Bills
- Green Bay Packers
- Minnesota Vikings
- Carolina Panthers
Some notes:
As you can see, the Redskins will play two divisions this year, the NFC North and the AFC East, and because Washington finished in third place this season, it will play the third place finisher in the NFC South (the Panthers) and the third place finisher in NFC West (the 49ers).
Including the playoffs, this will be the fourth time in the last five years the Redskins will have played the Packers, but the first time in that stretch that they will play at Lambeau Field. The Redskins also will travel to Minnesota to take on Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, their first matchup since he left in free agency last offseason.
The Redskins won't know when they play each opponent until sometime in mid-April, when the league announces all times and dates.
