The Redskins' offensive line suffered another blow as right guard Randy Thomas suffered a triceps injury during Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jason Fabini stepped into the lineup in place of Thomas. Fabini is a 10-year veteran who joined the Redskins last offseason.
Thomas was ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game.
The team will update Thomas's status after the game. If his triceps has a tear, then it's possible that Thomas could be sidelined for significant time.
"We'll just have to wait and see what the doctor's say," head coach Joe Gibbs said.
Thomas sustained the injury during the first quarter of the game.
The Redskins have already lost right tackle Jon Jansen in Week 1 to a fractured dislocation of his ankle.
Jansen underwent surgery last week to repair the injury and he is sidelined for the remainder of the season.
In Monday's game, Todd Wade started at right tackle for the Redskins.
