Following a career year, Washington Redskins punter Tress Way has earned second-team All-Pro honors from the Associated Press.

In his sixth season with the Redskins, Way was named the starting punter for the NFC in the 2020 Pro Bowl after setting career highs in nearly every statistical category.

Among NFL punters, he ranked first in punt average (49.6), second in total yards (3,919) and net yards (3,485) and third in net punt average (44.1). Furthermore, he downed 30 punts inside the 20-yard line with just four touchbacks. These gaudy statistics helped Way become a second-team All-Pro. (Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern received first-team honors.)

Way, 29, currently holds the Redskins' franchise record for single-season punt average (49.6; 2019), net average (44.1; 2019) and punts downed inside the 20-yard line (41; 2018).

Way is the Redskins' first All-Pro since tackle Trent Williams (second-team All-Pro in 2015) and the first All-Pro punter since Matt Turk earned first-team honors in 1996.
