Linebacker Marcus Washington underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left hip, the team announced on Thursday.

Washington's rehabilitation is expected to be three months, which means he could be available for some OTA work and the team's June mini-camp.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Thomas Byrd at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

Washington played in 14 games last season and recorded 106 tackles (78 solo) with 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The seven-year veteran suffered a knee injury in Week 15 after sacking New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. He was placed on injured reserve a couple days later and sat out the last two games of the regular season.

Meantime, left tackle Chris Samuels is expected to have surgery on his left knee following his Pro Bowl appearance on Feb. 10 in Hawaii.
