To address the growing need for support in our D.C. Metro area community due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation is hosting a Silent Auction from Monday, May 4 to Friday, May 22.

Fans will be able to access and bid on items in the online auction presented by GCO Consulting Group, which kicked off efforts with a $10,000 donation.

One-hundred percent of proceeds will benefit United Way of the National Capital Area. United Way NCA is a local non-profit organization who has reactivated its Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF) to provide additional resources to organizations who are working to aid those most negatively impacted by this health crisis in our region.

"We are so grateful for the partnership and support from the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and the fans who are providing a creative and innovative way to help our community during this crisis," said Rosie Allen-Herring, President and CEO of United Way of the National Capital Area. "Your United Way is here to be part of the solution and committed to working collectively with the community to fight for the health, education and financial stability of all residents in this region."

The auction will feature 18 official Redskins autographed memorabilia as well as three unique virtual experiences:

  • Personalized video message and autographed panel football from head coach Ron Rivera
  • Q&A with No. 2 overall pick Chase Young moderated by Voice of The Redskins Larry Michael via Zoom
  • Virtual at-home workout with former Redskins tight end Vernon Davis via Zoom

The auction will last until Friday, May 22 at 12 p.m. View all of the auction items and experiences, HERE.

"We are excited to be working with United Way of the National Capital Area to provide some unique virtual experiences through the Redskins Charitable Foundation's auction," said head coach Ron Rivera. "We will continue to fight this together by supporting their COVID-19 relief efforts and help those who need it most during these challenging times."

All proceeds from the relief auction will benefit the Emergency Assistance Fund to further expand United Way NCA's efforts towards additional food assistance and support to frontline healthcare workers and economic assistance for lost wages to individuals and families throughout the region.

Phase one of the response centered around food security, economic assistance and basic needs. Through its Emergency Assistance Fund, United Way NCA allocated funds to the following organizations: Martha's Table, Northern Virginia Family Service, Community Service Agency, Capital Area Food Bank, Arlington Food Assistance Center and Manna Food Center.
