Leigh Wallace
Senior Director, Sales & Service Operations
Time at the Commanders: Over 7 years
Describe what you do with the organization. What's your favorite part about what you do?
Throughout my time with the Burgundy & Gold, I have had a few different roles all with the top priority being our fans in the stands cheering on our team. Currently my focus is planning out Membership events, campaigns and incentives. My favorite part about my role is bringing our Washington family together at events such as the Draft, Training Camp and watch parties. Anytime we can get people together from all different walks of life to root for one common goal, the Commanders winning of course, is a WIN in my book!
What's a work-related accomplishment that you're really proud of?
An accomplishment that I am proud of is creating our Season Ticket Member program "Washington Gold" from the ground up. When I joined the team there wasn't a ton of structure to the program, and now we host Members for year-round events, have special incentives, campaigns and offers.
What inspires you to come to work each day?
Knowing I get the opportunity to make just a small impact on the Burgundy & Gold and striving to make it even better each and every day.
How has your background shaped who you are today?
Honestly, I think I overlook how much my heritage has shaped me into who I am today and why I am with the Washington Commanders. The reason I started with the team is because of the traditions my family had growing up and the Burgundy & Gold being such a big part of it.
What does this month mean to you?
This month gives us all an opportunity to pause and reflect on all that women have accomplished and continue to accomplish. We live in such a busy world, and WHM is something that really reminds us the importance and impact women have.
What quote or mantra do you live by?
Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life!
