Jim Zorn is the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week for games played on Sept. 28-29, the NFL announced.
Zorn won the honor thanks to fan voting on NFL.com.
Zorn, in just his fourth game as head coach, guided the Redskins to an impressive 3-1 start to the season.
Last Sunday, Zorn led the Redskins to a 26-24 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium. It was only the Redskins' second win in 13 years at Texas Stadium.
With the win, Zorn becomes the only Redskins coach never to lose a regular season game at Texas Stadium, which closes after the 2008 season.
Zorn used smart play-calling to keep the Dallas defense off balance. The Redskins built a 17-7 first-half lead and a 26-17 second-half lead.
Jason Campbell completed 20-of-31 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns and Clinton Portis added 121 rushing yards.
The defense frustrated Tony Romo and Terrell Owens with solid coverage and rookie Chris Horton recorded a key interception in the second half of the game.
Fans voted Zorn the winner of the Motorola NFL Coach of the Week award on NFL.com.
Zorn competed with Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher and Kansas City Chiefs head coach Herm Edwards for the honor.
In January, NFL.com hosts voting to determine the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year.
