Andre Chambers is the Chief People Officer for the Washington Commanders. Serving as a member of the executive leadership team, Andre is tasked with reimagining the structure, people strategy and human resources function as Washington continues its path toward becoming a modern franchise.
Prior to joining the Washington Commanders, Andre served as the Vice President of People Operations for the Athletics. In this role, he led the club's people strategy, focused on employee experience inclusive of attracting, retaining, and developing world-class talent. In addition to leading the club's human resources activities, Chambers also had leadership responsibility for the Alumni & Player Family, Office Services, and Technology departments. In 2019, Chambers led the design and development of the A's Stomping Ground, which transformed the south end of the East Side Club into a fun and interactive space for families. Prior to the Athletics, Chambers held leadership roles in talent and HR with major corporations, including Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Citigroup, and IBM.
Andre is on the board of the Peralta Colleges Foundation and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York (Fredonia) and a master's degree in Management Systems from Clarkson University.
