Chris White is entering his first season as director of pro personnel with the Washington Commanders after serving as assistant director of pro scouting with the Chicago Bears.
White joins the Commanders after working for the Chicago Bears the past 10 seasons. He most recently served as the team's assistant director of pro scouting from 2022-23. He held the role of pro scout with Chicago from 2017-22.
White joined the Chicago Bears organization in 2014 as a scouting assistant and held that role for two seasons. He was promoted to the role of pro scouting coordinator in 2016 and held that position until 2017 when he was ultimately elevated to pro scout.
White spent a year in football recruiting at Florida State. He first entered the NFL as a player personnel intern with the Detroit Lions during training camp in 2013. He started his post collegiate playing career as an intern at Florida Atlantic from 2011-12.
A New Orleans, La. native, White graduated from Florida Atlantic with a BA in political science and government. He would also go on to get his Master of Education from Florida Atlantic.
White played offensive line at Florida Atlantic from 2007-10. He was part of an Owls team in 2008 that finished third in the Sun Belt Conference and defeated Central Michigan in the Motor City Bowl in Detroit, Mich.
