Justin Brooks is entering his fifth season in Washington in 2023 after spending 2018 as a year-long intern for the San Francisco 49ers equipment staff. Brooks also spent the 2017 season as a staff assistant with the Miami Dolphins equipment department. He was promoted to co-equipment manager in 2023.
Brooks is responsible for assisting with equipment and helmet fittings along with football preparation and field setup. He also assists in placing annual equipment orders as well as performs weekly mandated scans for helmets pads and cleats to accurately record what individual players are wearing.
Brooks assembles all player game day packs which include all pregame apparel. He also prepares all kicking balls for practice on game day.
Brooks is also in charge of the equipment department internship program.
Prior to joining Washington, Brooks performed a variety of equipment related tasks with the 49ers and Dolphins prior to joining Washington staff in the 2019 offseason. Brooks double majored in finance and sports management at the University of Delaware and graduated in the spring of 2017.
Brooks is a native of Newton, Massachusets
