Brian Robinson Jr.'s life changed forever on a harrowing day in August ahead of the 2022 season. The path to recovery was littered with adversity and doubt, but backing down was never an option for the rookie running back. From Tuscaloosa to Washington D.C., Robinson saw what could be achieved through hard work, belief in himself and support from his loved ones.

Robinson insisted that his skill set is more robust, and he has shown that in his second season. 

Greg Guy, who formed a tight bond with Robinson during the player's time at Hillcrest, has a unique perspective on the running back's approach to adversity and his relentless work ethic. 

In the five years that he played for Alabama, Robinson was only a full-time starter during his redshirt senior season. It's not as common as it used to be, with college players electing to transfer if they don't get the playing time they believe they deserve. That was not the way Robinson chose to approach things; he decided to wait for his chance, and because of that patience, he was able to reach his full potential.

The Commanders already know that Robinson can carry the load for them on the ground, but Robinson insists that his skill set is more robust, and he intends to show that in Year 2. 

Robinson still feels like he has much more to give, and he views his rookie year as a stepping off point for what is to come in his career. 

Bieniemy, who has worked with some of the best running backs in the NFL, is a fan of Robinson's tools.

Robinson and Gibson created a strong duo that helped Washington have a 6-1 stretch in the middle of the season.
