Principal Network Engineer
Time at Commanders: 2.5 years
Describe what you do with the organization. What's your favorite part about what you do?
I manage and maintain the enterprise network infrastructure for the organization. I make sure that all corporate applications, devices and users can communicate via the network whether it is over the wired and wireless network or externally via our remote access VPN. In addition, I help make sure that gameday employees, event workers and vendors can conduct business and assist stadium attendees using our network and internet access. Lastly, I manage wireless access for stadium attendees so they may access the internet for personal use.
My favorite thing is the opportunity to architect and implement a robust, scalable and highly available network for the football team I've rooted for since I was a kid.
What's a work-related accomplishment that you're really proud of?
I'm proud of my work to redesign and implement the entire stadium network making it a stable environment. The stadium network is more stable than it has ever been. Also, I designed and implemented the new HQ network.
What inspire you to come to work each day?
Knowing the team and organization needs a stable network infrastructure to help in its success inspires me.
How has your heritage shaped who you are today?
I just try to follow the example set by my parents and sister which is to be a responsible and productive person.
What does this month mean to you?
It is extremely important to talk about and continue to reveal the true history of this country and its historical treatment of indigenous people and minorities. Black History Month indicates to me that we come a long way but have a long way to go.
What quote or mantra do you live by?
Think critically, question everything, empirical evidence rules.
