Commanders 2025 home and away opponents set

The Washington Commanders aren't done playing games for at least another week, but their 2025 home and away opponents are already set.

The Commanders will play all four teams from the NFC North and AFC West next season, including matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions. The Commanders will also play the Chicago Bears for the fourth consecutive season. The Bears will travel to Northwest Stadium for the third straight year.

The Commanders will also host the Denver Broncos and 2024 first-round pick Bo Nix. Like Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, Nix has his team in the playoffs after a strong rookie campaign. Nix ended the season completing 66.3% of his passes for 3,775 yards with 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Nix also rushed for 430 yards and four touchdowns.

Washington, which finished the regular season with a 12-5 record and had their most wins since 1991, will face a steep increase in competition in Daniels' second season. They will face seven teams currently in the playoffs, including Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers and Green Bay Packers.

Thanks to the Commanders finishing second in the NFC East, they will play teams with the same standing in the NFC West, NFC South and AFC East. That list includes the Seattle Seahawks, who will travel to Northwest Stadium, the Miami Dolphins and the Atlanta Falcons. Washington will play the Falcons for the fifth consecutive season, and all the previous matchups have been close. Although the Commanders won each game, they were decided by a touchdown or less.

The dates and times for the Commanders' 2025 season will be decided at a later date.
