The Washington Redskins are on the up and up.
The NFLPA on Friday released its "2016 Rising 50," looking at the top 50 players best positioned to rank among top-sellers of all officially licensed merchandise and become future retail stars.
The list takes into account on-field production from last season, fantasy football popularity, demand from current sponsors and licensees and more.
The 50 players must not have appeared in previous NFLPA Top 50 Player Sales quarterly lists.
And of the 50 named to the 2016 list, five are with the Redskins, the most along all 32 NFL teams.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins is No. 2 on the list just behind Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley.
Cornerback Josh Norman is No. 8, while tight end Jordan Reed (No. 24), running back Matt Jones (No. 35) and rookie wide receiver Josh Doctson (No. 36) also make appearances.
