Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spoke at a Redskins team meeting on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at the Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park in Loudoun County, Va.
The Washington Redskins had a special guest speaker during a team meeting Friday afternoon at the Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park in Loudoun County, Va., as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice imparted words of wisdom on the players prior to their game Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Along with being the 66th United States Secretary of State, Rice formerly was provost for Stanford University along with being a member of the College Football Selection Committee.
"She just talked about some of her experiences and she talked about personal fulfillment and leadership and kind of what that looked like for her in her life," said Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy. "Any time you have somebody who has that much experience and that level of education, it's nice to just be in a room and listen to her talk. I thought it was great for everybody."
Veteran defensive lineman Ziggy Hood added that few have accomplished what Rice has done in her career.
"She really was just dropping some knowledge about her past, her experience and really just sharing briefly of her life and what got her in this spot right now," Hood said.
