Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. will be active for Thursday's prime time game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Robinson, who missed the previous two games with a hamstring injury, is currently the Commanders' second leading rusher and paces the team with six rushing touchdowns. He's averaging 4.6 yards per carry, which is tied for 12th among backs with at least 100 rushing attempts. He was a full participant on Wednesday after being listed as limited on Monday and Tuesday.
Robinson said outside the locker room Tuesday night that he believes he has "a great chance" of playing against the Eagles but left it up to the team to decide the best move for his availability, the Commanders will have to settle for the trio of Austin Ekeler, Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Jeremy McNichols. They spearheaded a rushing effort that amassed 149 yards against the New York Giants but met more roadblocks against the Steelers, ending the day with just 60 yards on 22 attempts.
It will be a similarly difficult task against the Eagles, who rank fifth in averaged rushing yards allowed. With Robinson back in the fold, it will provide the Commanders with another weapon that has stabilized their offense for most of the season. Not only is he still on pace for a career high in rushing yards, but also helps sustain drives because of his knack for converting short-distance third downs. That will be needed against the Eagles, who have held all five of their opponents under 25 points since their bye week.
At offensive line, Brandon Coleman (shoulder), Cornelius Lucas (ankle) and Andrew Wylie (shoulder) are all questionable for Thursday. Lucas and Coleman have split reps at left tackle this season, although Coleman has received all the reps over the past two weeks with Lucas missing the last two games. Though unconventional, both players have done well in the role, allowing just three sacks between them. If both are unable to play, Trent Scott would likely receive the starting snaps in their absence.
If Wylie is unable to participate, which would be a worst-case scenario, Chris Paul also spent time at tackle during training camp.
As far as who will definitively be out, coach Dan Quinn confirmed in his Wednesday press conference that Austin Seibert (right hip), Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) and Nick Bellore (knee) will not play against the Eagles.
The remaining players on Washington's injury report, including Tyler Biadasz, Clelin Ferell, Dante Fowler Jr., Noah Igbinoghene and Jordan Magee will be available to play against the Eagles.
