"Jay Leno's Garage" is a show that allows celebrities and athletes the chance to drive their dream car. Unless, of course, the car doesn't function properly.
That was the unfortunate case for Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, who was picked up by Jay Leno in a 1968 red Shelby Mustang that kept stalling on the former late night host.
To salvage their 10 minutes together on Thursday night's episode, Norman agreed to sit shotgun, for safety purposes, and at least got the experience of riding in one as Leno tried not to curse too much at the malfunctioning engine.
The episode was shot at the beginning of April (no, Norman did not make another trip to Southern California in the middle of the practice week) and Norman mostly chats about his history and fascination with cars.
Some of the unique tidbits include learning that Norman wrecked his first car, a Saturn, just two weeks after driving it. Once Norman got into the NFL, he purchased a slight upgrade, a 1973 Z 28 Camaro.
The episode was a good way to plug Norman's charitable foundation, Starz 24, where he detailed some of the things he's doing in hometown community of Greenwood, S.C.
