Think your hat collection is cool? Well, it probably pales in comparison to Matt Hessler's closet.
The New Jersey native and diehard Redskins fan – he doesn't miss a home opener at FedExField – has upwards of 130 Redskins caps, without any duplicates, at his home.
Hessler wrote to The Redskins Blog that he's also been a fan of Redskins players that came from the University of Miami, such as Sean Taylor, Santana Moss and Clinton Portis.
However, he rarely wears any of his hats to keep them in mint condition.
His obsession started as a conundrum. Hessler had a choice of five different hats to buy at a local store but couldn't decide which one to take home. So he bought them all and he hasn't stopped buying.
He's been collecting over just the last few years and has several limited edition hats that aren't available for purchase anymore.
"Always out there searching for more new ideas that hit the market," he wrote.
