Before the special guests arrived, Redskins fans were already singing.
Renditions of "Hail to the Redskins" popped up every several minutes inside the cozy, then extremely crowded, confines of "Whiskey River" Saturday night in Charlotte, N.C., where tons of fans came out to support the burgundy and gold.
The restaurant, owned by Redskins fan Dale Earnhardt Jr., posted a video of the NASCAR driver thanking everyone that made the journey down and a Redskins jersey with his name on the back was presented to start the festivities.
Then it was Rick "Doc" Walker and FedExField Public Address Announcer Mark Kessler's turn to get the fans even more riled up, offering some words of encouragement (and a few touchdown calls) before handing the mic over to Larry Michael and Chris Cooley, who got some nice chants before his name was called.
Then there were the requisite raffle prizes and giveaways, including some autographed footballs and jerseys and game tickets. Though, most of the fans, many of them local, that were packed into the bar had already purchased theirs and were ready to go for Sunday.
