• The Washington Redskins defeated the Green Bay Packers, 42-24, in front of an announced crowd of 77,137 people at FedExField on Sunday.

The victory improved the Redskins to 6-3-1 this season. * The Redskins now have six wins through 10 games for the first time since 2008 (6-4). At 6-3-1, the Redskins' .650 winning percentage is the team's best through 10 games since 1996 (.700). * The Redskins' 42 points were the second-most by the team since the arrival of Head Coach Jay Gruden in 2014, trailing only a 47-point performance in Week 10 of the 2015 season vs. New Orleans. * The 42 points were also the second-most scored by the Redskins in the 36-game all-time series between the Redskins and Packers, trailing a 47-point game on Oct. 17, 1983. * The Redskins gained 515 yards of offense. It was the team's second 500-yard game of the season, tying the most 500-yard games in a single season in records dating back to 1950 (accomplished previously in 1950, 1981, 1989 and 1999). * The 515 yards were the Redskins' most in a game that did not require overtime since a 559-yard effort in Week 11 of the 1991 season against Atlanta. The Redskins recorded a 546-yard game in Week 8 this season, a game that required a full 15-minute overtime period. * The Redskins recorded their sixth 400-yard game on offense this season, tied for third-most in a season in team history. * The Redskins exceeded 300 yards of offense in a 14th consecutive regular season game, dating back to last season, for the first time since a 14-game stretch across the 2012-13 seasons.  * The Redskins gained 151 rushing yards and have now rushed for 100 yards in five straight games for the first time since a five-game span across Weeks 15-17 of the 2014 season and Weeks 1-2 of the 2015 season. * The Redskins finished with two 100-yard receivers (Rob Kelleyand Jamison Crowder) and a 100-yard rusher (Rob Kelley) in a single game for the first time since Sept. 12, 1999 vs. Dallas when receivers Michael Westbrook and Albert Connell and running back Stephen Davis accomplished the feat. * Between Garçon (116) and Crowder (102), the Redskins featured two 100-yard receiving performances in a single game for the first time since Week 3 of the 2014 season (Garçon and Jamison Crowder at Philadelphia). * The game was the Redskins' first appearance on NBC's Sunday Night Football since Dec. 1, 2013, vs. the New York Giants. * The Redskins earned their first win on Sunday Night Football since their NFC East-clinching 28-18 victory against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17 of the 2012 season.

• Quarterback Trent Williams completed 21-of-30 passes for 375 yards and tied his season-high with three touchdown passes and no interceptions.
• Cousins finished the game with a season-high 145.8 passer rating, surpassing his previous season high of 116.5 in Week 4 vs. Cleveland.

Cousins set a team record with his 17th career 300-yard passing game, including postseason play. Sixteen of his 17 career 300-yard games have come in regular season play, passing Sonny Jurgensen for the most in team history. * On a 70-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter,Cousinsbecame the sixth quarterback in team history to record back-to-back 3,000-yard passing seasons (Sonny Jurgensen, 1966-67; Joe Theismann, 1983-84; Mark Rypien, 1991-92; Jason Campbell, 2008-09; Robert Griffin III, 2012-13). * *Cousinshas thrown at least one touchdown pass in 25 of 26 regular season games since assuming the starting role prior to the 2015 season, including each of the last nine games dating back to Week 2. * On a 26-yard pass to tight endJordan Reed *in the second quarter,Cousinsbecame the seventh quarterback to record 10,000 career passing yards with the Redskins, joining Joe Theismann, Sonny Jurgensen, Sammy Baugh, Mark Rypien, Billy Kilmer and Jason Campbell. * The performance wasCousins'17th career regular season game with multiple touchdown passes. * With the touchdowns,Cousinspushed his career passing touchdowns total to 64, including 17 in 2016. * Running backRobert Kelleyrecorded career highs in rushing attempts (24), rushing yards (137) and tied a team record with three rushing touchdowns. * *Kelley'sperformance marked the 25th time a member of the Redskins has recorded three rushing touchdowns in a single game and the first since Darrel Young on Nov. 3, 2013. * Kelley *became the first Redskins rookie to rush for three touchdowns since Alfred Morris on Dec. 30, 2012, coincidentally the team's last victory on Sunday Night Football. * *Kelley *recorded his second rushing touchdown of the season on a 10-yard run in the second quarter. * *Kelleylater added touchdown runs of one yards and four yards in the fourth quarter. * Kelley's *final touchdown of the game was set up by a 66-yard run, the team's longest run from scrimmage since a 76-yard rush by Robert Griffin III on Oct. 14, 2012. It was the third-longest total touchdown of his career, including an 85-yard punt return touchdown in Week 5 at Baltimore. * *Crowderpushed his career-high receiving touchdown total to six, becoming the first member of the Redskins to record at least six touchdowns in a season within the first two years of a career since Fred Davis in 2009 (six in his second NFL season). * The Redskins opened the game's scoring with a 17-yard touchdown pass fromCousinsto wide receiverDeSean Jackson *in the first quarter. * The receiving touchdown wasJackson'ssecond of the season and the 44th of his career. * The touchdown wasJackson'sfirst since Week 3 against the New York Giants. * The 17-yard touchdown was the second-shortest score ofJackson's12 receiving touchdowns as a member of the Redskins. The only touchdown of Jackson's Redskins tenure shorter than the 17-yarder was a 13-yard touchdown reception at Minnesota in Week 9 of the 2014 season. Chronologically, Jackson has receiving touchdowns of 81, 60, 64, 13, 42, 69, 56, 63, 28, 77, 44 and 17 yards with Washington. * Tight endJordan Reedfinished the game with five receptions for 79 yards. * With the effort,Reed** (231) passed Rod Gardner (227) for 15th on the Redskins' all-time receptions list.

Defense:

• Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan started his 90th consecutive game, tied for second-most among active NFL linebackers. Kerrigan has not missed a start in his NFL career.

With a second-quarter sack, Kerrigan pushed his season sack total to 8.0, joining Jared Allen, Derrick Thomas, DeMarcus Ware and Reggie White as the only players to register at least 7.5 sacks in each of the first six seasons of an NFL career since the NFL adopted sacks as an official statistic in 1982. * The Redskins extended their streak of consecutive games with a sack (including postseason play) to 19. Washington, Dallas and Green Bay are tied for the longest active streaks in the NFC. * Defensive end Chris Baker recorded a sack in the second quarter, pushing his season sack total to 3.0 and his career sack total to 11.0. * Linebacker Will Compton recorded his second career fumble recovery of the season in the fourth quarter. * The fumble was forced by cornerback Josh Norman, his second of the season and the sixth of his career. * Linebacker Martrell Spaight recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter, picking off Packers quarterback Brett Hundley. * The Redskins forced a three-and-out on Green Bay's opening possession. Including a three-and-out to open the game against Minnesota last week, the Redskins have now recorded three-and-outs on the first defensive possession of consecutive games for the first time since a three-game stretch in Weeks 6-8 of the 2010 season. * The Redskins recorded three-and-outs on each of Green Bay's first three possessions, marking the first time the Redskins have opened a game with three straight defensive three-and-outs since Week 2 of the 2014 season vs. Jacksonville. * According to the NFL Media Research Group, the three consecutive three-and-outs by the Redskins' defense marked the first time a defense had forced three straight three-and-outs to open a game in the career of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. * The Redskins have now won four consecutive games at FedExField and are 4-2 at home this season. * After recording a five-game winning streak at FedExField last season, the Redskins have now secured a home winning streak of at least four games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1991 (six games) and 1992 (four games). * The Redskins evened their all-time Sunday Night Football record at 17-17-1 since the introduction of the broadcast package in 1987. * The Redskins improved to 2-1 against the NFC North in 2016. * The Redskins now have victories in five of their last six regular season home games against the Packers dating back to 1972. * The Redskins broke a 9-9 tie in Redskins home games in the all-time series and are now 10-9 against Green Bay at home. * The Redskins have now defeated NFC North opponents in back-to-back weeks for the first time since divisional realignment in 2002.
