Ranking 13th all-time in franchise history in points, the Washington Redskins have re-signed kicker Dustin Hopkins. The Florida State product will be entering his fourth season in Washington.

Dustin Hopkins is officially back with the Washington Redskins.

The Redskins announced on Monday that they have re-signed the kicker just days before free agency officially opens. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hopkins, 27, has appeared in 39 career games with Washington, converting 73-of-87 field goal attempts along with 93-of-98 extra point tries. Additionally, he's averaged 62.9 yards on 212 career kickoffs with 146 touchbacks. In his three seasons with the Redskins to date, Hopkins is perfect on field goals between 20 and 29 yards, successfully converting on all 26 of his tries from that range..

He also ranks fifth in team history in field goals made (73), fifth in extra points made (93) and 13th in points (312, fifth-most among kickers).

His 83.9 field goal percentage also ranks second in franchise records among kickers with at least 50 field goal attempts, and his 34 made field goals during the 2016 campaign set a single-season team record.

The Florida State product first joined the Redskins after the 2015 regular season opener. In his debut season with Washington, Hopkins made 25-of-28 field goal attempts while 52 of his 80 kickoffs were downed for touchbacks.

In a Week 6 game against the New York Jets that season, Hopkins converted on a career-long 54-yard field goal attempt.

During the 2016 season, Hopkins was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for the month of September, as he made all 11 of his field goal attempts include five in a Week 3 victory over the New York Giants. With the accolade, Hopkins became the first kicker in franchise history to earn a Player of the Month award.

Hopkins is the third player the Redskins have re-signed this offseason, joining linebacker Mason Foster and safety Deshazor Everett.
