When you have the word "Rocket" in the first part of your Twitter handle, and you're also a football player, you're going to have to prove why you deserve to boast that nickname.
Wide receiver Rashad Ross (@TheRocketRashad) did just that last Thursday night when he returned a fourth quarter kickoff against the Giants 101 yards for a touchdown.
But now he has some definitive proof that the return wasn't just good blocking and poor tackling. Ross actually has some crazy speed, too.
In fact, Ross was the fastest ball carrier clocked by NFL Next Gen stats during the return, maxing out at 21.5 mph.
He beat out contenders Colin Kaepernick (20.2 mph), Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green (20.4 mph), Colts wide receiver Phillip Dorsett (20.8 mph) and Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (21.3 mph).
Pretty soon, he'll have to alert ground control.
