There have been plenty of Redskins players to "pop the question" or "tie the knot" in the past few months. Second-year defensive lineman Jonathan Allen recently married his wife Hannah in early July and Phil Taylor Sr. and Samaje Perine celebrated their anniversaries with their wives Dajana and Megan, respectively, over the last several weeks.
Now, add veteran tight end Vernon Davis to that list.
Rather than just simply finding a romantic location to get on one knee, the Washington, D.C., native wanted to make one of the most memorable days in his life even more exciting. He and his girlfriend Kayla were vacationing in Ocean City, Md., strolling through the smooth white sand when they were greeted with a fleet of skydivers.
Davis, who has said that he aspires to become an actor after he hangs up his cleats, certainly played a nice role in this scene as both he and Kayla seemed greatly confused when the skydivers approached the couple. Each of them had a shirt that asked a different part of the question, "Will you marry me?"
The University of Maryland product is one of the hardest working players in the Redskins locker room, so there's no surprise that he was able to think of such a special way to begin the next chapter of his life.
