The Washington Redskins will compete in front of a holiday audience in Week 12 when the team travels to the Dallas Cowboys in a nationally televised tilt on Thanksgiving Day. Kickoff at AT&T Stadium is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Redskins hold a one game lead over the Cowboys in the NFC East and a win will give Washington a 3-0 record in the division for the first time since 1991.
For the first time in the history of the organization, Washington will play its third consecutive contest during the holiday dating back to Thanksgiving Day in 2016.
The game will mark the ninth Thanksgiving Day meeting between the two franchises. Last season, the Redskins hosted their first Thanksgiving Day game defeating the N.Y. Giants, 20-10, at FedExField.
Entering Week 12, Colt McCoy is projected to start under center after quarterback Alex Smith suffered a season-ending injury last week at home against the Houston Texans.
The last time McCoy started at quarterback against Dallas, the Texas Longhorns product completed 25-of-30 pass attempts for 299 passing yards to defeat the Cowboys, 20-17, in overtime.

THE OPPONENT
The Dallas Cowboys enter the game with a 5-5 record after securing a last second field goal win over the Atlanta Falcons 22-19. Head coach Jason Garrett owns a combined record of 72-58, in the midst of his ninth season in the position.
Quarterback Dak Prescott is through 42 consecutive games as the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. This season, Prescott is 197-for-305, for 2,138 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions over two games and has won his last two games, after dropping two in row beforehand. Prescott has also rushed for 261 yards on 51 attempts, while notching four touchdowns.
Running back Ezekiel Elliott continues to be one of the most dominating running backs in football. Elliott has rushed 191 times for 953 yards and five touchdowns. Elliott has also recorded 42 receptions for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cowboys feature a diverse receiving attack, bolstered by the acquisition of Amari Cooper from the Oakland Raiders. Since the trade, Cooper has 14 receptions for 169 yards and a touchdown in three games. This adds to his season totals of 36 receptions for 449 yards and two touchdowns. Cole Beasley continues to maintain his spot as the top receiver on the team, with 45 receptions for 454 yards and two touchdowns.
Adding to the receiving corps are tight end Geoff Swaim, who has led the way for tight ends with 26 receptions, 242 yards and a touchdown. Allen Hurns rounds out the leaders with 16 receptions for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense, rookie Leighton Vander Esch continues to have a breakout season, with a team leading 82 tackles (65 solo) as well as six passes defensed, 1.5 sacks and two interceptions. Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has harassed opposing quarterbacks all season, with eight sacks in 10 games, as well as 44 tackles (30 solo), 14 QBH, 13 tackles for loss and one forced fumble and fumble recovery.
Kicker Brett Maher earned a game winning 42-yard field goal against Atlanta last week, improving his season total to 21-of-25 (84.0%). Maher missed his first extra point of the season against Atlanta but is 18-of-19 in his young career on extra points.
