Over the coming weeks, The Redskins Blog will be providing you with a different look at the franchise's past.

Unlike Throwback Thursday where we've looked at important moments on the gridiron against an upcoming opponent, this series will examine some of the lighter moments as we go through all of the photos stored at Redskins Park in Loudoun County, Va.

Yesterday on "Redskins Nation," new offensive line coach Bill Callahan sat down with Larry Michael, Voice of the Redskins, to talk about his excitement for the upcoming season.

The conversation allowed Callahan to recall some of his knowledge about the Redskins, specifically as it pertained to offensive line coach/coordinator Joe Bugel, who, in his first stint with the Redskins, was in charge of the "The Hogs," the impressive core of Redskins offensive linemen.

"I used to come out to Carlisle [Penn.] in the mid-80s and watch Joe Bugel coach 'The Hogs,'" Callahan said. "Yeah, it was great. What a great experience that was. Just watching those linemen develop. Now to be here, try to uphold that tradition. I'm really honored by that."

Well, here's some more Joe Bugel nostalgia.

Check out this photo, taken Nov. 21, 1982, of Bugel talking shop with his O-linemen, which include Jeff Bostic (No. 53), Russ Grimm (left), Fred Dean (No. 63) and Joe Jacoby (right), among a few others in the background.

The conversation looks important, considering Dean's expression, and was likely taken during halftime.

The Redskins were playing in their first game since the 57-day players' strike had ended, facing, and ultimately defeating, the New York Giants, 27-17 in the league's abbreviated nine game regular-season.

Is it just me, or does Bugel look a little like Callahan in this shot?
