With a convincing 47-14 victory over the Saints, positive thoughts about the Redskins have filtered their way into an NFC East division very much up for grabs.
That's made playoff possibilities something to consider at this point in the season, at least it was for former Ravens head coach and NFL Network analyst Brian Billick.
He laid out a short list of reasons why he believes the Redskins, sitting a half game behind the Giants for first place, have a chance to make the playoffs this year, starting with their remaining schedule, which features many division rivals, including the Eagles and Cowboys on the road the final two weeks.
He also notes the running game getting back on track and the secondary getting healthy, two vital parts that the team had been missing through the middle half of the season.
Of course, he qualifies things at the end.
"Even if they can't do it, this analysis might get me a free meal in D.C. this weekend."
