In Leesburg,Va., on Saturday? Why don't you come support Chris Cooley.
The former Redskins tight end and current Redskins Radio color commentator, is also, as you may already know, an artist. While he dabbles in all kinds of art, he primarily creates ceramics and has had them on display since several years ago.
But, this Saturday, with the help of his fiancée, Cooley will have a gallery re-opening for his work in a new, bigger space, just a block away from his old rental, on King Street, inviting all residents.
The space will serve as more than just a gallery. Cooley plans to have events such as paint and wine nights and open studios and classes from local artists. There has also been talks to have writing workshops and even comedy improv acts.
"We believe we can do something special here," Cooley said in an interview with Loudoun Now. "We wanted to make a commitment to something that's sustainable.
