Not unlike the Redskins Rally at Dorian's Restaurant in the Upper East side of Manhattan just a few weeks ago, the scene remained festive thirty blocks south Saturday night at Redemption.
There, Redskins fans gathered again, many of them new faces, to fill out the dining area, meet other fans and share some of their Redskins pride.
Rick "Doc" Walker and Chris Cooley each had a turn at the microphone to mark their presence and rally the troops for Sunday's game against the Jets. In between, fans checked their raffle tickets and some earned prizes such as autographed memorabilia and tickets for the next day's game.
Barret, Matthew and J.T. were three of a group of five guys from Maryland, making their annual boy's trip to a Redskins away game. They travelled to Arizona and Denver the previous two years and hope they can reach all 32 NFL stadiums in their lifetime.
Just across from them, Ed and Sally were celebrating their engagement, which occurred just several hours before walking into Redemption. Ed had a nice conversation with Cooley during the evening, which was a gift in itself.
