The bond that Washington Redskins fullback Darrel Young and tight end Niles Paul has runs much deeper than football.

Sure, they made a lot of plays together over the years, but the two are like family off of the field, doing community events together and so much more.

On Saturday evening, Young served reminder of this on his newly created Twitter account.

Paul, of course, suffered a season-ending ankle injury during the first quarter of the Redskins' preseason opener.

As the tight end remained on the ground, clear that a major injury had been suffered, Young stayed with Paul as the cart came out to carry him off the field.

"It's more than football for me," Young told ESPN’s John Keim. "Niles is family. I've been at his house for holidays and he's been to mine. This guy has worked his [butt] off and made the transition [from receiver to tight end] and put on 30 pounds and is still a hell of a player. You process all those things. Every little thing you do from a friend standpoint and a football standpoint. All that goes through your head in 15 seconds and it's like, 'Damn.'"
