So maybe new offensive quality control coach Dave Ragone doesn't have quite the same illustrious quarterback career as Doug Williams.
He does, however, have one game Williams must concede to him.
In 2000, Ragone, then quarterback for Louisville, led the Cardinals to a blistering 52-0 victory over Grambling State early in the season.
Back then, Williams was in his first of two stints as head coach at Grambling State. The loss was not microcosmic of the season, however. That year, Williams led his team to a 10-2 record and three straight Southwestern Athletic Conference titles.
"Doug and I had a good laugh," Ragone told Larry Michael, Voice of the Redskins, on "Redskins Nation," upon meeting Williams recently.
"We did pretty well against him," Ragone said. "He reminded me of that in the cafeteria I think my first day on the job."
