Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, as he heals from a big toe injury, took some time to wish O.J. Brigance, the Ravens senior advisor to player engagement battling with ALS, a happy 46th birthday.
Hall promoted this on the Twitter account for the Brigance Brigade Foundation, which supports people fighting ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
The foundation's goal is to equip, encourage and empower people living with ALS by providing patients and their families access to equipment, resource guidance and support services.
Brigance played 12 years of football, some with the Canadian Football League, the rest with the Dolphins, Ravens, Rams and Patriots.
He's become beloved in Baltimore, though, especially for his outstanding special teams play during their Super Bowl run in 2000 and his presence in the community with his foundation, as he continues to give back.
Brigance was diagnosed with the disease in 2007 and has since become an inspiration for the Ravens and their players.
