During the summer break, Redskins safety Deshazor Everett returned to his hometown on DeRidder, La., and was honored with a key to the city.
Everett was an outstanding two-way football player at DeRidder High School, where he was a two-time All-Louisiana selection.
Everett would go on to bigger and better things at Texas A&M, and now the Redskins.
No matter where Everett's been in his football career, the city of DeRidder has followed him and had his back.
Naturally Everett was excited, being just the second person ever to receive a key to the city of DeRidder.
