You can feel the emotion through each passing word in the caption of an Instagram photo Redskins safety Duke Ihenacho posted Tuesday evening, just hours after it was announced that he'd be placed on Injured Reserve with a left wrist fracture/dislocation.
"This one is [a] tough pill to swallow. For the 2nd year in a row, my season is cut short due to injury. And it hurts because I know how much work I put in this year to get back and how much fun I was having with my teammates. I had personal goals that I won't get to achieve this year, that I'll have to put on hold...but it's all good. I trust His plan and I know everything always works out. I appreciate everyone for your encouragement and your prayers. And If you know me, don't fret...cuz you know ya boy gon keep rockin no matter what! #HTTR," Ihenacho wrote.
Acquired on waivers last season, the San Jose State product appeared in three games in 2014 before being placed on Injured Reserve with a foot injury. He started the season opener against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday before suffering the wrist injury.
