The Redskins had a lot of stuff to remember in 2015.
Now that we've reached the end of the season, the Redskins Blog will select its favorite things from Redskins fans, players, coaches and team personnel over the last 12 months.
We'll continue with our five favorite Instagram posts from defensive end Jason Hatcher.
1. The Hotline Bling
When this song reached its peak, it saturated the airwaves and the internet, and the combination sparked a video like this. Hatcher has a diverse Instagram, but one thing that remains a constant are his interactions with his kids. Here, it's in the car, singing along with Drake, an artist both in the backseat clearly enjoy. Just keep your hands on the wheel, Hatch.
2. The Family Dab
This one exemplifies Hatcher's family fun. It's Christmas morning, everyone's in their new red and green pajamas, why not do the Dab? One thing is for sure, the Hatcher family is on top of their pop culture. "Hope y'all have a Merry dabbing Christmas," he captions. I hope this was their holiday card.
3. The Shaving Cream
Credit Hatcher for having the guts to post this. What he thought was a great prank against a teammate that parked in his assigned spot turned out to be his biggest mistake. Somehow, Hatcher didn't recognize his wife's SUV. So when she parked in his spot one day, he wrote with shaving cream against the windshield "Do Not Park Here." Once he realized his error, he wrote "Love You, Big Daddy" on the side windows. Classic.
4. The Pathway To Success
Hatcher likes to mix up his Instagram with random photos and messages. This one resonates with a lot of people. Success isn't always linear. There are setbacks and forks in the road and squiggles. I'm sure Hatcher has found that to be the case throughout his career.
5. The Backyard Golf
Other than football, golf is Hatcher's other love, which makes sense considering he lives on a golf course. That allows him special privileges, though they are probably not encouraged, like hitting golf balls from his backyard putting green into a nearby lake. If you look closely, you can see the splash at the end of the video. Well struck.
Honorable Mention: The Bryce Harper
During the end of the baseball season, Hatcher had a chance to throw out the first pitch at a Nationals game with the rest of the Redskins defensive line. He also got a sneak peek at eventual MVP Bryce Harper taking batting practice before the game.
