With several weeks in between veteran minicamp and training camp, Redskins players are spending their time doing a variety of things. For example, David Bruton Jr., Josh Norman and Duke Ihenacho attended the ESPYS earlier this week, while others, such as Junior Galette, were training in various (Pokémon Go) gyms.
However, receiver Colt McCoy has done something a little different.
The former Arizona State product was known as a speedster in college and in the NFL, and had the opportunity to be the Redskins' primary kick returner for the 2015 season and, presumably, for the upcoming 2016 season. But a new Instagram post confirms that his nickname, "Rocket," isn't far off the truth.
That's because Ross, with a small head start, is shown outrunning a motorcycle for about 20 yards.
While all players are training throughout the offseason, Ross seems to be getting creative for the start of 2016.
What makes Ross' victory even more impressive is that he did so with a weighted vest strapped to him. Even former Sun Devil teammate and Green Bay Packer cornerback Damarious Randall was impressed, commenting some eyeball emojis: "."
Hopefully, racing motorcycles can help Ross come July 28, as he and the rest of the Redskins start the 2016 season in Richmond, Va.
