When news broke of Junior Galette's torn right Achilles heel last week, the linebacker, at least on social media, didn't seem as devastated as might typically be expected of someone who had worked for an entire year to return to the field after tearing his left Achilles.
There seemed to be a small sliver of hope on Galette's part that he might be able to forego surgery and return at some point in the season, something he teased on Twitter as he consulted with doctors.
Well, that's now out of the question. Galette announced on his Instagram that he will have surgery on right Achilles and wait to return one more year.
As he mentions in his post below, there is a three percent chance he will re-rupture the tendon, and "Lord willing," he writes, he will still get to play with the Redskins next year.
