Defensive linemen Kendall Reyes, who signed a contract with the Redskins on Friday, isn't very active on Instagram – at least not to the extent that many of his peers are – but when he does post a photo, it's usually of his baby daughter.
Only seven months old, she has received a lot of attention from her dad, especially once the offseason kicked in.
He's strapped her to his chest while making food, taken her to the beach and strolled her around Disney Land recently.
Washington, D.C., doesn't exactly have those last two luxuries, but now Reyes can start some early history lessons and have fun being a tourist walking by the city's monuments. After all, Reyes has been an advocate for participating in activities outdoors.
His name also doubles as an acronym. R.E.Y.E.S. Family Field Day, which stands for Re-Engaging Youth Through Exercise And Sport, is an annual event that Reyes has put on with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua (N.H.), his hometown, which inducted him into its Hall of Fame.
It's been a way to raise money for the organization and get youth active in the community. Once he's on the east coast, it should be an easier commute home.
