Kirk Cousins Up For Two Different Week 7 Honors

Don't judge a book by its cover. Or in this case, don't be quick to judge a performance after just one quarter.

Despite having just 19 passing yards in the first quarter of Sunday's victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins would go on to have himself a day.

By the final whistle, blown just minutes after Cousins led a game-winning touchdown, the Michigan State product had gone 33-for-40 for 317 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions and a quarterback rating of 124.7.

For the air honors, Cousins is up against New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who threw for 355 yards and two touchdowns, and Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who tossed four touchdown passes.

He was selected as the 2014 Week 3 FedEx Air Player of the Week when he threw for a career-high 427 yards and three touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cousins is going against Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles, who threw a game-winning touchdown pass, Brady, New York Giants returner Dwayne Harris, who scored a go-ahead kickoff return for touchdown, and Arizona Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson, who secured a victory for the birds with an interception late Monday night.
