Redskins rookie running back Matt Jones is up for two player of the week awards following his two-touchdown performance in Week 2.
Jones is a nominee for both Rookie of the Week and FedEx Ground Player of the Week.
For rookie honors, Jones is matched up with the Cardinals' David Johnson (108-yard kickoff return touchdown, 13-yard touchdown run), Amari Cooper (seven receptions for 109 yards) of the Raiders, Buccaneers' first-overall pick Jamison Winston (14-for-21 for 207 yards and a touchdown) and Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters (55-yard pick-six).
The rookie is also up for FedEx Ground Player of the Week honors alongside the Bengals' Giovani Bernard (20 carries for 123 yards) and Adrian Peterson (29 carries for 134 yards).
Jones, of course, finished the Redskins' 24-10 victory over the Rams with 19 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
