Kedric Golston is heading into his 11th season in the NFL – all of which have been with the Washington Redskins.
One thing's for sure: Golston has earned his stripes, as he's the most tenured player on Washington's roster.
He's also earned the respect from his coaches and teammates.
But just because everyone in the Redskins organization loves Golston doesn't mean they can't have a little fun at his expense, as Washington tight end Niles Paul did on Monday.
The team was in the main auditorium at the Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park for a meeting, and Golston – better known to his teammates as "Uncle Ked" - had his arms wrapped with two huge bags of ice, because that's what 11-year NFL veterans do, according to Paul in his Twitter post.
It's all love from Paul to Golston, as Paul throws up the fist emoji in his tweet, signifing respect from one warrior to another.
Even though Golston's played in 140 games in his career, he feels really good physically, and says he's ready for more.
"Obviously I've been here a while, so this is all I know, and I care about this team, and the fans and the community," Golston said. "I feel we're doing things the right way, and working in the right direction, so it's a blessing to be a part of that."
