So as to not be outdone by Will Compton, Niles Paul -- his current teammate and former one with the Nebraska Cornhuskers -- strapped on the earmuffs and fired some rounds yesterday at a shooting range – the trend of the week for Redskins players.

Now, he didn't have the real-life, interactive experience Compton received, but this time his target actually had a face. Well, a painted Zombie one.

He connected on a few shots to the head, which is important because according to the “Zombie Rule Book,” based off movies, "body shots are a waste of time and ammunition. Whether you are shooting or hitting with a hammer always go for the head or you will be just wasting time and energy."

Paul now has the proof to show somebody he could probably survive a zombie apocalypse, at least for a few rounds.

Paul re-signed with the Redskins in early March before becoming an unrestricted free agent. He caught 39 passes for 507 yards and a touchdown in 2014 and contributed heavily on special teams.

"This football team wanted me here, I wanted to be here, and I was very clear with my agent where I wanted to be at," Paul said. "We worked out the written part of it, and I'm back. I'm home."

Home, and ready to defend his team against zombies.
