There's been a few artists (as in visual artists) over the last several months that have created some fantastic Redskins artwork.
Sports and athletes are enticing to paint and it's probably why local artist Pete Chiappinelli, a VCU graduate and Richmond, Va., native, decided to paint Robert Griffin III, honoring his favorite team.
"I am a huge fan of the Redskins and RGIII so this one was a labor of love," Chiappinelli wrote on the painting’s description. "It was good for practicing new techniques and my first time ever painting oil on canvas. I did the finishing touches digitally using above Photoshop and a Microsoft Surface Pro with a touch sensitive pen."
This is Chiappinelli's first sports piece from the many paintings in his portfolio. I say he should continue his Redskins fandom through painting like this.
