Washington Redskins rookie safety Su'a Cravens has been voted as the NFL's Clutch Performer of the Week after his diving interception off an Eli Manning pass in Week 3.
With the game hanging in the balance – and the potential remaining that the Redskins could fall to 0-3 on the season – rookie Su'a Cravens saved the day last Sunday against the New York Giants.
Washington was up 29-27 with a little more than a minute left in the game, but the Giants were driving down the field in hopes of taking the lead back.
On 1st-and-10 from their own 39-yard line (and just one play after Victor Cruz converted on 3rd-and-14), Giants quarterback Eli Manning dropped back hoping to find Shane Vereen in the middle of the field.
Cravens had different plans, diving in front of Vereen for his first career interception and to seal the Redskins' first victory of the 2016 campaign.
The play helped Cravens win the NFL Castrol Clutch Performer of the Week award.
Cravens receives the honor over Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and Los Angeles Rams defensive end Robert Quinn.
